Mud People:
out of nowhere the three figures emerge;
tree trunk heads, clay skin, twigs and leaves
painstakingly exploring the landscape with the curiosity of children
life breaking through the urban cracks --
passed by a hundred times, but seeing it for the first time,
looking at it so hard that you
let everyone see
nice. i enjoyed this.

I remember this room, Room 304, El Cortez Hotel. Mike Mollett set it up for a group (3) from Los Angeles, the L.A. MUDPEOPLE. Elaine Parks, who lives near Elko (Rm. 303), & Neal Taylor (Rm. 312) were also part of the visiting tribe. They hung out in this room, walked around the neighborhood & walked about the River School...
ReplyDeleteI hear that there's a Reno tribe now.
ReplyDeleteHow do I find out more about the Reno Mud People?
